Hair vitamins fro hair growth?

What are some good hair vitamins or just vitamins in general for hair growth?…vitamins, minerals, etc?
I've heard of MSM. It's the pill for joint pain or someting. Some people say they take it (not because the have joint problems) but because it helps their hair and helps it grow. Is this true? Are there any side effects to using it? What'the average dosage?

Vitamin A, B and E. Biotin Helps speed up hair growth.
