Do Hair Loss Vitamins Really Work?

I am only 20 and I am having some sort of a hair loss, not serious one though.
My family has no history of hair loss or medical issues so I know its not a genetic thing.
I think its b/c of bad shampoos and styling products I used that weakened the roots.
Whats the best shampoo to fix that?

i am 14 and i was wondering if it is ok to take these vitamins…or do they have any negative side effects? thank u!

Yes you can take them and shouldn't have side effects. I take them as well because it has the biotin which helps my nails to grow since I have a hard time with them growing without breaking and splitting and it also helps your hair. I have no side effects to the vitamins. You should be fine

Nature's Bounty vitamins makes a supplement called "Hair, Skin, and Nails." look for it in your local pharmacy.

and ive been taking it since the beginning of september..

GNC has a supplement called "Nourishair" that makes the hair grow faster, you can read what's in it by googling it. Be warned these pills are HUGE and you have to take 2 a day.
Also ProCaps labs sells a "hair skin and nails" formula that does the same thing, supports hair growth and health, and is smaller and easier to swallow.
If you take only Biotin alone, make sure you take at least 2.5 milligrams or 2500 micrograms [the same thing] a day because thats' a good amount to take. I use the Nourshair supplement from GNC now and my hair is growing faster than it did, but it took about 6 to 8 weeks of daily use to see results.

I posted a question about hair loss earlier, and an answerer told me that it was because I was using an anti-dandruff shampoo. I feel like the hair loss hasn't really changed. What can I do about it? Around two weeks ago, I switched to a deep cleaning, non-medicated shampoo, but I don't know if that's affecting it at all. How long could it take? Any advice helps. Thanks.

Usually hairloss is an internal problem not an external problem. It can be caused by hormones, genetics, stress, and malnutrition. Once the follicle starts to let go of the hair you have a certain amount of years to try to gain it back before it becomes permanent. unfortunately you have to attack the problem with a fury.
